submitted solely (not combined with non-chemical
supplies or apparatus).
Note: Requisitions may contain multiple chemicals to
be ordered.
2. The first line of the description
field (of the 254 screen) must state the
Chemical Name.
3. The second line of the description
field (of the 254 screen) must state the CAS#
in the following format: CAS# XXXXX-XX-X.
4. If your material is a mixture and does not
have a unique chemical abstract number enter

Potential Delays in Processing Purchase Orders
Recently, the Legislature has enacted Public Act
07-245 and Public Act 07-142 requiring all suppliers
conducting state business to sign-off on a
Non-discrimination certification:
Certification to accompany all State
contracts, regardless of type, term, cost, or
value., pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes
§4a-60(a)(1) and § 4a-60a(a)(1), as amended by
Public Act 07-245 and Section 9(a)(1) and
10(a)(1) of Public Act 07-142.
Many corporations have refused, requiring UConn
Health Center to apply for waivers from CHRO.
Unfortunately, this requirement has resulted in
delays in processing a variety of orders at various
dollar values. We recognize the unique business
requirements for UConn Health Center Research,
Clinical, Dental, CMHC and Facilities Management
Operations. We ask for your patience as we
facilitate solutions to address your procurement
needs.
Please call Matt Larson, Assistant Director of
Procurement, at 860-679-1775 for updates on our
efforts and for specific situations that require
discussion. |
